Description
As a Remote Software Engineer at Paymentology, you will be part of the Engineering team, building secure and scalable financial processing systems. These systems power millions of transactions and connect to web, mobile, and API interfaces, making it easy to issue, redeem, and reconcile prepaid and credit cards globally.
Responsibilities
Create, enhance, and maintain software applications and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend requirements and design solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
Develop and execute test plans to ensure software functionality and performance.
Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure software stability.
Manage source code repositories using version control systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation for knowledge sharing and future development.
Adhere to organizational policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers to deliver high-quality software.
Requirements
At least 5 years of experience in software development.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, with experience in the Spring Boot framework.
Understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design concepts.
Familiarity with software development tools and technologies, including IDEs, version control systems (e.g., Git), and issue tracking systems (e.g., JIRA).
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
Skills in unit testing and/or Test-Driven Development.
Ability to document requirements and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Flexible hours for remote work and occasional on-call duties.
