Description
Cortex is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer responsible for designing and building complex front-end components, improving codebase, and leading projects from start to finish. The role involves enhancing user interfaces for our developer portal and collaborating with different teams to ensure a modern, efficient product.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, maintain, and improve the user interface for our developer portal.
Lead projects end-to-end, from specification to post-production support.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to build new features.
Ensure product compliance with the latest frontend technologies.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to best practices.
Improve existing planning, development, and deployment processes.
Identify and advocate for process and technical improvements.
Exhibit ownership over frontend codebases and pod-owned functionality.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering.
Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React.
Experience with complex single-page applications.
Understanding of design principles for responsive and user-friendly applications.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
