Cortex is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer responsible for designing and building complex front-end components, improving codebase, and leading projects from start to finish. The role involves enhancing user interfaces for our developer portal and collaborating with different teams to ensure a modern, efficient product.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve the user interface for our developer portal.

  • Lead projects end-to-end, from specification to post-production support.

  • Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to build new features.

  • Ensure product compliance with the latest frontend technologies.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to best practices.

  • Improve existing planning, development, and deployment processes.

  • Identify and advocate for process and technical improvements.

  • Exhibit ownership over frontend codebases and pod-owned functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • 7+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering.

  • Strong proficiency in modern frontend frameworks like React.

  • Experience with complex single-page applications.

  • Understanding of design principles for responsive and user-friendly applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
