Description
NR Consulting is seeking an experienced SRE Architect for a full-time remote position. The candidate will play a critical role in building and running applications that maintain high uptime and reliability.
Responsibilities
Develop and operate applications with over 99% uptime.
Manage large reliability and observability programs for major banking customers.
Stay updated with industry trends and implement new tools and infrastructure.
Hands-on coding in languages such as Java.
Expert in observability, chaos engineering, and APM tools like New Relic and Dynatrace.
Proficiency in cloud platforms like PCF.
Implement solutions around SLIs and SLOs.
Support production incidents for mission-critical applications.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve operational issues.
Understand agile/lean software delivery life cycles and DevOps.
Manage large-scale infrastructure across data centers and cloud platforms.
Work as a service owner managing diverse stakeholders.
Motivate a growing engineering team to deliver top performance.
Requirements
18+ years of development and operations experience.
8+ years as an SRE Architect.
Strong coding experience in Java or similar languages.
Expertise in observability, monitoring, logging, and tracing.
Proficiency in chaos engineering concepts.
Experience with APM tools like New Relic/Dynatrace and log monitoring with Splunk.
Proficiency in cloud platforms like PCF.
Experience implementing SLIs and SLOs.
Experience supporting production incidents.
Understanding of agile/lean and DevOps methodologies.
Experience managing large-scale and growing infrastructure.
Ability to manage large, diverse teams and motivate them.
