Description
Pinterest is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager for its Observability team.
The role involves leading technical and people aspects, managing teams, and enhancing observability solutions.
Responsibilities

Serve as technical and people leader for Observability teams.

Innovate and enhance current solutions to support business needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional leaders and Product Management to define and scale new capabilities.

Build a team culture focused on clear expectations and career development.

Hire and develop talent within the organization.

Participate in Incident Management On Call rotation.

Ensure high availability, scalability, and efficiency of observability functions.
Requirements
-
At least 3 years of experience managing managers and senior staff.

Hands-on experience with observability tools similar to Cloud Trail, Data Dog, or Splunk.

Strong communication skills with various stakeholders.

Experience with tier-0 critical infrastructure in a distributed environment.

Bonus: Experience with in-house observability platforms, time-series databases, or ML/GenAI in observability tools.
