Description
EDB is looking for a Software Engineer - Golang for a 12-month contract. The role is 100% remote for candidates based in the US. The engineer will be part of a team working on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.
Responsibilities
Develop practical, easy-to-use tooling and processes.
Leverage cloud environments to scale development, testing, and build systems.
Improve the performance and usability of existing tools and automated systems.
Collaborate with engineers throughout EDB to use standard methodologies for building scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems.
Document and promote tooling for use by engineers for the development, testing, and packaging of their products.
Requirements
Experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Packer.
Strong experience in eliminating tedious work for all engineers.
Experience with frontend development using React.
Experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures.
Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment.
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills.
