Description
Vercel seeks a dedicated Site Reliability Engineer focused on Edge infrastructure to optimize integration between in-house software and cloud providers. This role aims to enhance reliability, performance, and affordability for customers.
Responsibilities
Engage in end-to-end design, development, and deployment of new software to ensure reliability and scale.
Participate in incident management, conduct blameless postmortems, and follow up on continuous risk mitigation.
Implement engineering improvements to boost production systems’ reliability and efficiency.
Create automated systems for software delivery, system failover, and capacity management for low-toil operations.
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in an SRE role or 5 years in an adjacent role like platform engineering in a scaled environment.
Strong understanding of SRE philosophy and experience with system design and improvement.
High accountability and commitment to problem-solving with a curiosity to find root causes.
Proactive engagement with development teams to influence software design.
Experience managing risk and making sound decisions.
Familiarity with networking protocols and application serving.
Experience with AWS infrastructure at scale.
Bonus: Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Golang, and/or Lua.
