Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on Backend Development to work on the Staking API. The candidate will collaborate with a team of experts to design and maintain user-friendly services.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive and responsive services for Coinbase Staking.
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate SDKs with APIs and smart contracts.
Implement new features and optimizations for Coinbase Staking.
Optimize developer ergonomics for a seamless experience.
Develop and maintain well-documented, modular, and reusable public SDKs.
Troubleshoot and debug complex issues on and off chain.
Work with external and internal developers to improve user experience.
Contribute to the development of design systems and smart contract best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend and smart contract development.
Mastery of Golang, Solidity, and TypeScript; Ruby is a plus.
Experience in smart contract engineering and their interactions with off-chain systems.
Experience in integrating backend APIs with open-source SDKs.
Familiarity with different testing frameworks, patterns, and writing unit and integration tests.
Knowledge of on-chain to backend system interaction best practices for a smooth staking experience.
Understanding of on-chain security best practices and secure coding for financial systems.
Strong problem-solving skills for tackling complex challenges.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Passion for Onchain/Web3 and an understanding of blockchain technologies.
