Description
At HubSpot, a Senior Engineering Manager in Account Management will support efforts to help small and medium-sized businesses grow using our world-class products. This role requires a skilled engineering leader to partner with Product and Design peers, guiding the technical strategy and product roadmap for multiple small teams. The focus is on creating customer confidence that HubSpot can scale effectively with their businesses. The position involves staying technically hands-on and participating in a 'take at home' coding assessment during the interview process. Successful candidates will blend technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer needs, aligning with HubSpot’s mission to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
Define the product roadmap and technical strategy with Product and Design peers for 6-7 small teams.
Embed as a software engineer during the initial months and yearly to stay technically hands-on.
Provide leadership and build trust and empathy within the teams.
Ensure customer confidence in HubSpot's scalability.
Drive the group’s success in alignment with HubSpot’s product strategy.
Mentor reports to grow in their roles and support diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Communicate HubSpot's mission and culture to potential candidates and participate in talent recruitment.
Requirements
Strong leadership qualities validated in similar roles.
Excellent product and technology insight to guide multiple teams.
Ability to foster a dynamic engineering culture based on HubSpot principles.
Deep empathy for team members, minimizing unnecessary toil and friction.
Track record of inspiring teams under high-scales/visibility projects.
