Description
A talented PHP Developer is needed for a contract role at James David Staffing in Auburn Hills, MI. This role involves building and maintaining innovative systems to enhance manufacturing and operational excellence. The developer will work in a hybrid setting, focusing on creating impactful solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert in operational management systems.
Collaborate with manufacturing and shipping teams to identify challenges and develop solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation for business continuity and scalability.
Design, develop, and deliver software projects with clean, maintainable code.
Improve and maintain back-end fulfillment systems.
Build automated unit and integration tests for system reliability.
Develop and integrate APIs with third-party systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.
Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 3+ years of experience with PHP development, including frameworks like Laravel or Symfony.
Expertise in building and integrating REST APIs.
Hands-on experience with database development and maintenance.
Strong familiarity with unit testing frameworks like PHPUnit.
Knowledge of event streaming/queue services such as RabbitMQ and caching services like Redis or Memcache.
Proficiency in front-end development, including JavaScript, JQuery, LESS/SASS, and bundlers like Gulp/Webpack.
Adherence to clean code principles, including DRY, PSR-12, and SOLID.
Experience hosting and deploying applications in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure.
Ability to work collaboratively in Agile methodologies.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
