Description
Airbnb is seeking a Manager for the Engineering - Web Platform team, which empowers web engineers by providing innovative and high-quality frameworks, libraries, and tools. This role will partner closely with tech leads to strategize and execute projects enhancing the productivity of over 400 web engineers at Airbnb.
Responsibilities
Lead and prioritize projects to benefit the web engineering community.
Foster strong relationships with partner teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate on shared projects and align engineering strategies.
Mentor and coach the team to achieve their best work.
Support senior engineers in designing architecture strategies.
Plan and address technical debt and code quality improvements.
Contribute to the organizational culture with a first team approach.
Requirements
2+ years of experience as a full-time manager.
Experience coaching senior engineers and managing distributed teams.
Interest in best practices for developer productivity.
Familiarity with bundlers, testing frameworks, and CI systems.
