Description

The Junior Splunk Engineer at NikSoft Systems Corporation plays a key role in the configuration and tuning of Splunk Core and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) services. This position involves developing use cases with CISO end users to build content and assist in creating advanced security use cases.

This role requires participation in requirements gathering, solutions architecting, and the design and build of technology solutions to support the Continuous Monitoring Program. The Junior Splunk Engineer will assist, train, and host workshops for CISO teams, and support off-hours and weekend efforts for incident investigations and systems maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Tune and configure Splunk Core and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES) services.

  • Develop use cases with CISO end users to build content.

  • Assist in developing advanced security use cases.

  • Participate in requirements gathering, solutions architecting, and design and build of technology solutions.

  • Assist, train, and host workshops for CISO teams.

  • Support off-hours and weekend efforts for incident investigations and systems maintenance.

Requirements

  • Open to U.S. Citizen or U.S. Green card holder only due to the needed security clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Splunk.

  • Thorough knowledge of data flow, client server and web-based systems, problem analysis, and systems tuning.

  • Adept with network interfaces and technologies.

  • Experienced in the cybersecurity domain.

  • Strong communication skills for dealing with various stakeholders.
