Description
The Junior Site Reliability Engineer at Device42, a Freshworks company, will be part of a team working to enhance the stability and performance of our digital products. This role combines software engineering and systems administration to ensure the reliability and scalability of our infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Create or enhance services based on defined architecture and requirements from R&D teams.
Build a Site Reliability Engineering culture by sharing best practices, documentation, and code.
Apply automation and software to tasks or parts of the system that benefit from it.
Contribute to continuous delivery workflow as part of agile development.
Monitor application performance and take steps to improve stability.
Conduct system analysis and configuration management to enhance software performance, availability, and reliability.
Review services for potential improvements and recommend efficiencies.
Collaborate with a global team to improve development processes.
Document system knowledge, create runbooks, and ensure critical information is accessible.
Perform on-call duties as needed.
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer.
Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
Knowledge of monitoring and alerting technologies like Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Experience working with engineering teams to understand product requirements.
Familiarity with SRE & Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworks.
Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
Knowledge of source control tools such as Git, GitLab, and Gerrit.
Ability to understand technical issues and provide recommendations across platforms and languages.
Ability to offer advice and best practices for operations.
