Minutes To Seconds is looking for a Java Developer in a remote contract role. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot. They will work to implement new features and APIs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements. The candidate will also diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues, maintaining high performance standards. Implementing best practices for software development, such as code reviews and unit testing, is essential. The role involves developing and integrating RESTful APIs and designing Microservices architecture for scalability and maintainability. Additionally, they will take ownership of development lanes and products, driving the development process.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Java applications using Spring Boot.
Implement new features and APIs in the backend.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange between systems.
Design and implement Microservices architecture to ensure scalability and maintainability of applications.
Take ownership of dev lanes and products to help drive development.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring software reliability and performance.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Java Engineer with a strong focus on back-end development.
Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot framework.
Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and design patterns.
Strong experience with SQL and Relational DB Design.
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming techniques.
Working knowledge of AWS architecture.
Understanding of RESTful APIs.
Experience with Android development is a plus.
