Description
EDB is seeking a skilled Image Hardening Engineer for a 12-month contract role. The engineer will design and build secure EDB container images, ensuring they pass security scans and work in various Kubernetes environments.
Responsibilities
Work with EDB’s partner Chainguard to integrate their ecosystem.
Design, implement, and maintain EDB container images.
Test and ensure container images function on Openshift and vanilla Kubernetes platforms.
Ensure images pass mandated security scans.
Collaborate with the EDB security team to resolve issues.
Requirements
Experience with Python, Golang, and Shell programming languages.
Experience in building commercial-level container images.
Familiarity with Linux packaging managers like APK, APT, and RPM.
Knowledge of security scanning tools such as Blackduck.
Experience with process automation.
Ability to work independently and within a distributed team.
Strong problem-solving skills and good communication abilities.
Understanding and willingness to follow modern software development life cycle processes.
