Canonical is seeking a talented Golang Engineer to join our team of exceptional software developers. This position involves designing and implementing high-quality software in Go, with a focus on performance and security. Responsibilities
Design and implement well-tested and documented software in Go.
Debug and resolve issues encountered by users.
Participate in code and architectural reviews.
Collaborate with community and colleagues on technical specifications.
Seek improvements in engineering and operations practices.
Deploy and operate services developed by the team, when necessary.
Contribute to the success of products through technical advocacy.
Requirements
Exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM fields, or a compelling alternative path.
Professional experience designing and writing high-quality Golang software on Linux.
Extensive Linux experience, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Strong motivation, accountability, and result-oriented mindset.
Ability to travel twice a year for company events.
