Full Stack Developer (Billing & Payment Processing Project) | Fully Remote

Description
This role is open to candidates in North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe.
The role is fully remote, but candidates must be willing to work East Coast hours or even European hours to collaborate with team members in Europe.
This is a senior-level contract role that requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in payment processing and billing systems.
Candidates should have experience with Stripe, and they should be comfortable with AWS native solutions.
The contract will be for 12 months, requiring roughly 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust payment processing and billing solutions using Stripe.
Architect and implement scalable AWS-native systems.
Foster a proactive and adaptable approach to project challenges and evolving requirements.
Display enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring within the team, especially in pushing forward technical skill sets and project management techniques.
Requirements
5+ years of development experience with Python.
Experience building APIs using Python-based frameworks like FastApi or Django Rest Framework.
Experience with asynchronous programming in Python.
Experience with distributed systems.
Experience with Test Driven Development and performance testing.
Strong online collaboration and communication skills.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
Strong knowledge of Python’s typings module.
Experience with at least one strongly typed language (Java, C#, Scala, or other).
Ability to deliver software quickly and solve problems.
Experience in integrating payment processing systems with various platforms (Stripe preferred).
In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL, including query optimizations and performance tuning.
