The Engineering Manager, AdTech role involves joining the MyFitnessPal Engineering team, impacting the health journeys of users daily. The manager will lead a cross-functional team of engineers for a Product Squad focusing on outcomes, using data and experimentation to deliver valuable solutions for customers and enterprise partners.
Responsibilities
Lead a cross-functional team of Android, Backend, iOS, and Web engineers for a Product Squad.
Work closely with Product and Design teams to support product objectives.
Champion the product operating model using qualitative and quantitative tools.
Ensure quality and maintainability of codebases.
Take a hands-on approach to delivery management.
Ensure the backlog is healthy and work is scheduled appropriately.
Run agile sprint ceremonies and coach the team.
Engage and empower team members to suggest improvements.
Coach and support a team of skilled engineers.
Requirements
6+ years of experience leading engineering teams in a Product Operating Model.
Strong foundation in A/B testing-based product iterations.
Experience with consumer-facing iOS and Android app development.
Collaborative partnership with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
Enjoyment of mentoring and coaching teammates.
Knowledge of common software engineering patterns and best practices.
Experience with high traffic, scalable mobile applications.
Strong decision-making abilities using various inputs.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience.
