Description
Veeva Systems is looking for a Digital Web Developer to join the Marketing Digital team. This role involves being the primary backend developer for veeva.com and other Marketing supported websites. The candidate will develop custom site features, build integrations and be responsible for site architecture and performance.
Responsibilities
Develop custom site features to meet stakeholder needs.
Create enterprise-level WordPress plugins and themes using PHP and React.js.
Build integrations with internal and external systems via APIs.
Guide technical direction and make key decisions on code implementation.
Ensure the highest level of security in the code delivered.
Debug across various browsers and devices.
Implement best practices for WordPress, PHP, and JavaScript.
Encourage a culture of documentation and knowledge sharing.
Monitor the performance of live websites.
Requirements
Advanced PHP expertise with professional experience.
Experience in WordPress engineering, including React.js and Gutenberg block development.
Skilled in debugging performance and caching issues.
Experience designing site architectures for scalability and maintainability.
Comfortable with Unix command line.
Strong understanding of localized websites.
Strong communication skills with technical concepts.
Autonomous with self-management skills for a remote role.
Proficient with Git and version control.
Experience interacting with RESTful APIs (JSON, XML).
A minimum of five years of experience developing WordPress websites.
Proactive approach to learning and knowledge sharing.
