Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering projects that boost security, reliability, compliance, and automation of the fleet.

  • Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks through tool building.

  • Collaborate with Security, IT Operations, and Developer Productivity teams for troubleshooting and responding to tooling requests.

  • Utilize deep technical skills to debug and resolve complex issues.

  • Maintain high code quality standards by reviewing and providing feedback on peer submissions.

  • Contribute to the team’s long-term charter and roadmap.

  • Mentor team members and uphold technical decision-making standards.

  • Improve operational metrics and systems for tracking fleet health.

  • Stay informed on industry trends to ensure Stripe's technological leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience managing endpoints using configuration management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.

  • Proficiency in a software development language.

  • Ability to write infrastructure as code with declarative configuration files.

  • Experience with middleware development.

  • Skill in leveraging APIs for infrastructure changes.

  • Focus on creating excellent user experiences.
