Description
An Associate Test Engineer at VIPRE Security Group uses their knowledge in software development and basic testing methodologies to ensure the quality of deliverables from the Product Delivery Team. This role involves creating test cases, setting up test environments, and executing test cases.
Responsibilities
Follow the test plan and execute assigned test cases.
Adhere to standard software testing processes to maintain project defect records.
Help in executing manual and automated test scripts.
Create and design test data needed for testing.
Work with the Scrum Team throughout the project to ensure successful delivery.
Report software issue statuses to the Lead Test Engineer and verify fixes proactively.
Identify process deficiencies and implement process improvements.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Ability to work and adapt to different programming languages.
Knowledge and/or working experience in Software QA processes and methodologies is an advantage.
Familiarity with software development life cycle or Agile methodologies is beneficial.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Batch scripting is a plus.
Knowledge of testing frameworks like PyTest and Robot Framework is advantageous.
Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, and Linux is helpful.
Experience with virtualization technologies like Docker, VMWare, VirtualBox, and Google Cloud Virtual Machines.
Experience in testing computer systems and applications.
