Description
Meetsta seeks an experienced Android Developer specializing in Kotlin for the Founding Engineer role. The selected individual will develop and maintain the Android app, assuring an intuitive user experience. This position involves collaboration with product managers, designers, and backend developers to implement new app features and optimize existing functionality.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain the Android version of Meetsta's app using Kotlin.
Implement and optimize gRPC-based communication for smooth backend interactions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features in line with business and user needs.
Ensure app performance, quality, and responsiveness through testing and optimization.
Identify and fix bugs to improve app stability and performance.
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.
Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, libraries, and best practices.
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
Collaborate with the UI/UX team for a seamless and visually appealing user experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in Android app development with a strong focus on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Experience with gRPC for efficient communication between apps and backend.
Experience with databases like PostgreSQL.
Solid understanding of Android SDK and architecture components.
Experience with RESTful APIs and integration with backend services.
Proficiency in version control (Github).
Strong knowledge of mobile UI/UX design principles.
Familiarity with tools such as Android Studio and Gradle.
Experience in app performance optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with push notifications, offline storage, and background processing.
Previous experience in social networking or mobile-first platforms is a plus.
