The Senior Android Developer will be a crucial team member responsible for developing a client voice and messaging platform on Android. This role involves building high-performance, scalable applications with integrated voice, video, and messaging capabilities.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications focused on voice and messaging features.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in Kotlin.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and ship new features.
Work with real-time communication protocols like WebRTC and SIP.
Optimize app performance for audio quality, latency, and bandwidth.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Troubleshoot and debug performance, crashes, and other issues.
Own projects from ideation to deployment.
Deploy features to millions of users with immediate impact.
Requirements
5+ years of Android development experience with a strong portfolio.
Proficiency in Kotlin and Java with a deep understanding of Android SDK and frameworks.
Experience with real-time communication technologies such as WebRTC and SIP.
Knowledge of APIs, third-party libraries, and real-time messaging frameworks.
Understanding of push notifications, background tasks, and network management.
Strong grasp of UX principles and ability to design user-friendly solutions.
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Ability to function in an ambiguous environment.
B2C experience preferred.
